Having owned my Multi from new last April and last year only covered 2000 Miles I had been reading all the suicidal threads on all of the problems and wondering what I should change to. As a last trip I decided to book a tour to France with my wife Jo and stuck on a set of Angel GT,s (I hated the Scorps) before returning to the uk to test ride a few bikes. 1500 miles in France and a subsequent 500 miles in the last 4 weeks and I want to say the Multistrada staying no matter what anyone posts about their issues. Wow how did I waste a whole year of ownership? It's now permanently in sport getting what it deserves and as soon as I manage to work out where to get them from my deposit I had saved is buying some Quat D,s and a remap from CJS as I want even more! For everyone not sure because of what they read I would say get busy living and take the plunge.
You are right. There are too many negative posts for what is an awesome piece of metal. I agree about the riding in Europe. France in particular has some very quiet back roads with great surfaces, good visibility and you can let rip and really experience what the bike is capable of (far more than I can extract!). I'm off to Portugal soon to take in some more great roads in the Sun
