  3. What a wise move, going to make those long cold wet winter nights so much more bearable.

  4. I told the wife I wanted to put the bike in the house over winter. She said "If the bike move in, I move out". I'm still waiting, I need the space.

  10. Doesn't it need a drip tray?

And I meaning for the bike!

  11. Is that a homemade featherbed?

    AL.

  12. That is just sooooo beautiful!

  13. Looks to me like it needs a damn sight more

  14. Vey wise bring the bike into the house for the winter.:upyeah: As for the project, I think the tank needs some Isopon ,and someone seems to have nicked the engine and wheels.

  15. Not quite homemade, it was made for me by a nice man in Wales.. T45 tubing, Phospher bronze welded.. As for an engine, yep got one of them, though not much else as the piggy bank is empty now. No need for a drip tray, its not having an old Brit motor .. but an old Ironhead engine, it'll make more power than a 900SS by the time I'm done with it.

  16. Is that a slimline tank on a wideline frame? So it doesn't actually fit ...

  17. Well, it is andit isnt.. The tank fits fine because it was made for that frame, which isnt an exact replica of a Featherbed, there are quite a few differences.. eg.. Square section swingarm which is wider than the original, all engine mounts are very different, steering head is different, with different sized races, and so on.

  18. The Leno bike looks to be a year or so later than mine (82 83 ish) as it has sidepanels and those ugly black mudguards as the factory where skimping on paint by then.
