I hadn't been out on it for a while, For one reason or another. The sun was shining. And though it was nippy, I had one hell of a smile on my face. And my spirits were lifted no end. I have to pinch myself because I can't believe I'm lucky enough own one. These bikes rock. And that's all I have to say about that.
They're great aren't they? If you can break yourself away from wanting the fastest, latest, gizmo laden bike, and figure out exactly what will suit real world riding, 73 bhp is plenty!
Amen to that. It could make 43bhp for all I care as long as it sounded the same & had the same TORQUE.
Prefer my old 750ss over the current 749 in terms of fun. I miss that bike so much. That raw torque, always felt like when it revved you were actually putting in work. Will be buying another one when I have the cash. Glorious bike,
As a road bike - a REAL LIFE road bike - the SS takes some beating, even today? If they could make something today with the same sound, that low-down power, something so beautifully Feral - it would sell just the same! The SS and Monster SAVED Ducati's ass back in the 90's, and its easy to see why? That iconic air-cooled 2v twin with great brakes & suspension was never not going to sell.
Took the fuglystrada out t'other day, and only a handful of pedestrians threw up. I think they're finally getting used to Terblanche's design...
MAN UP, FOOL! I have an interview this afternoon for Good-In Supervisor in Corsham - undecided whether to take the car or take the bike & turn up in leather two-piece with a shirt & tie underneath. Hmmm...
