Iawdiag, A Monster And Losing Hair

  1. This may be one for @chrisw

I'm attempting to use IAW15xReader_V0.68 and IAW15xWriter_V0.27 (current versions) to duplicate the map on my M900 ECU to a spare. I have done this before on a 900SSie with the same ODB2 interface, though a few years back. Anyway cutting a saga short, I cannot get the software to connect - leds on the device indicate that communication is being attempted, but not succesfully connecting.

I tried with have IAWDiag and JPDiag with the same net result - not connecting. I have even bought a second OBD2 device to try a different type with JPDIAG - no success

Baud rate on the port is 9600,8,1,none and have attempted 38400,8,1,none. I have checked the pin connection from the 3 pin diagnostic to the OBD2 plug. Does anyone know the baud rate and serial port emulation setting that ought to be used?

The only difference in the software setup is I have since upgraded to Windows 11, latest FTDI drivers are loaded, port status is working.

Has anyone used IAWDiag with Windows 11, or is this the root of my problems?
