This may be one for @chrisw I'm attempting to use IAW15xReader_V0.68 and IAW15xWriter_V0.27 (current versions) to duplicate the map on my M900 ECU to a spare. I have done this before on a 900SSie with the same ODB2 interface, though a few years back. Anyway cutting a saga short, I cannot get the software to connect - leds on the device indicate that communication is being attempted, but not succesfully connecting. I tried with have IAWDiag and JPDiag with the same net result - not connecting. I have even bought a second OBD2 device to try a different type with JPDIAG - no success Baud rate on the port is 9600,8,1,none and have attempted 38400,8,1,none. I have checked the pin connection from the 3 pin diagnostic to the OBD2 plug. Does anyone know the baud rate and serial port emulation setting that ought to be used? The only difference in the software setup is I have since upgraded to Windows 11, latest FTDI drivers are loaded, port status is working. Has anyone used IAWDiag with Windows 11, or is this the root of my problems?
Firstly I would try running the programs as Administrator. If that does not work then run in compatibility mode https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb...-windows-783d6dd7-b439-bdb0-0490-54eea0f45938
Apparently not all FTDI OBD2 readers are what they seem - bought a KL-1Talia from Lonelec, ran in Windows 7 compatibility mode - Voila!
