1199 Ijac Motorcycle Lift

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Orchardbike, Jan 21, 2015.

  1. Anyone used or bought a 1JAC motorcycle lift for their 1199?

  2. There's a thread on here where they posted - I think some had them on here, I went for an Abba Sky Lift, much more versatile - I have a second one coming soon as it ended up as a display stand. The Warrior one has re launched I think for much less, about half. Demon Tweeks stock it I think.

  3. Thanks, I bought one but not sure I've made the right decision. Bits missing in the box and the adaptor just doesn't seem suitable for the bike. Will hang fire slagging them off for now, as I've had an email from them saying they're sorting it.........

  4. It may be irrelevant but I use one with my Multistrada 1200 and I am well pleased with it, its was easy to set up and simple to use, lifts both wheels off the floor, is rock solid and makes the bike portable in the garage.

I did have a small problem with one of the fittings so I mailed them, I got a call from Chris who is the owner (I think) wanting to understand the problem and the replacement was sent out by return.

It is a bit pricey even with the forum discount but worth every penny in my opinion, previous to this I had an abba stand but this was fiddly and quite agricultural in my opinion.

FWIW I have no connection with the company other than being a satisfied customer.

  5. Id like one but I ain't cutting my fairing

  6. Yep got one...great

  7. Thanks Niven770. Any chance of a picture of your adaptor and its pins? Does the lower pin sit under the swinging arm? If so, surely it damages the rubber chain guide? Thanks

  8. Oh and the top pin is like a prick in a welly in the frame hole!

  9. My lower pin is different (unless you have an R). When I got my 1jac the lower pin didn't fit due to the R having an adjustable swing arm pivot. Between 1jac and myself we managed to develop one for the R which is quite a bit different from the non R version. The top pin is a very snug fit as is the lower one.
The lower pin goes into the swing arm pivot hole. The lower pin is only to prevent the bike from swinging/rotating when lifted, all the weight of the bike is on the top pin.

  10. The top 2 pics are from Chris at 1jac, I think they are for 899 but basically the same and it shows the cut you need to make in the fairing. A 2 min job with a dremmel. The lower one is from my bike.
