Il4 To 899/v2

  1. On track, does the twin "feel" slower due to it not reving so high?

    Are they "fun"?

  2. I couldn't say for sure; but nothing feels as fast or fun as a bike that revs to 14K or more! Except maybe Pamela Anderson, but again -sadly- I could couldn't say for sure...

  3. I used to track a carbureted R6 but found I was reluctant to rev the bike which I put down to riding an ST4S on the road. Went to a 748SP based 853cc and was a lot happier and probably a bit faster than the R6. Going from a JIL4 to a V2 I guess would be a big step because the torque comes in a lot earlier and runs out of revs around 10K. I don't think you’ll feel slower because you won’t be. Once you get to grips with riding entirely differently, hell yes it’s fun :D Andy

  4. It’s not like V2 don’t Rev: they aren’t old 888 or 916 that would barely do 5 figures. They need to keep spinning and ridden like a small il4.

  5. What's the red line?

  6. Max power is about 10500 is t it? So maybe 13k? My old k5 1000 was about 12-13k iirc
