  1. I'm back following a foray to a number of Fireblade

    Hi there,
it's good to be back on a Ducati! I've previously owned a 748, 1098s and 1198. I've also had many many Fireblades. Sold the 1098s some time ago and purchased a Repsol Blade, then quickly went to a Daytona R then back to 2 Blades.
yes I do buy and sell far to often and thus lose exorbitant amounts of money- fool!

For some time I've continued swapping sports bikes, however, for a while was also considering a move away from them. Test rode a Speed Triple, SF848 and the new Aprilia Tuono V4' suffered the dilemma for some time then took the plunge. I considered a new SF 848 versus a Nov 2012 model- 308 miles and fitted with Titanium Termis. The Termi's helped convince me to buy the used one. Good decision I think- it sounds incredible and I would have purchased them anyway.
Ive only ridden the bike twice and I'm running in still, I love it so far, it's so much fun, more involving and rewarding, much more than the Blade's, of which I've become to find boring unless I'm on track or riding quick on the rode.
In terms of looks it I think it's much nicer than my other two options.

Ive added Evotech Rad guards, Rizoma oil filler cap, fork bungs-Evo, I'm in the process of fitting an Evo exhaust hanger. It already had a Ducati Gel seat ( does raise the already tall ride height a bit) which seems comfier than OE.
i fancy some Rearsets or may go for Rizoma pegs - any opinion or advice welcome.
Looking forward to reading more of the forum posts on what seems to be a great site. I'll post some pics soon.

  8. Well, I'm back once again! I sold the 848 Sf. Thought that I wanted a Sportsbike again and thus purchased another 675 DaytonaR -2013 model. A brief period of ownership and I purchased a new Cb 1000r ! 150 miles later and... Guess what...bored and somewhat confused I swapped it for a 2013 GSXR750 with my Mate who owns Hunts Honda Manchester. Luckily I paid not much more than cost for the CB therefore didn't lose a significant amount of money. I was really enjoying the Gixer- all 200 miles , when I decided to test ride the stunning 899 Panigale! I fell in love with it, what an amazing bike - in many respects. Needless to say I'm having a red one delivered on Friday, cw free Term's care of Ducati.

When will I learn! Ducati's are the only brand of motorcycle that ever regret selling! I'm back, however, this time I'm staying. :)

Has anyone taken delivery already? I'd be interested in any views/feedback please.
