Shocker... Has anyone got any views on the Shoei XR1100? I tried it on an age ago and it felt amazing! My current lid (AGV Stealth?) Is good, but alot of wind noise and still doesn't fit very well. I have a tiny pea head... So XS with XXS padding is normally needed for my helmet. And like I said, Shoei XR1100 has been the snuggest and best fit so far. However, running around in the shop was not a good wind noise test. Opinions?
Great lid, get the right fit and you'll be fine. Quieter than any Arai thats for sure. Also has the best visor mechanism as well
Bought one a couple of weeks ago from Demon Tweeks which included a free 'not for road use' tinted visor. Only done about 50 miles so far, but noise didn't seem to be an issue. I know there are mixed views on the following site, but it also achieved 5 stars SHARP Helmets - Shoei XR-1100
My other half has a Shoei XR1100 and he likes it - says it's quieter than the XR1000 that he had before. (Having an Arai not Shoei shaped head, I can't comment).
I have one, significantly better than the XR-1000 it replaced. Light, well ventilated, and all the interior comes out, making it easy to fit intercom speakers and indeed to machine wash it. Colours are very expensive but it's a great lid.
HI I HAVE JUST BOUGHT THE XR1100 NOT USED IT YET BUT HOPING TO THIS WEEK JUST FINISHED PUTTING MY 1198 BACK TOGETHER AFTER A SPILL, USED TO HAVE A AGV GP TECH 5 CONTINENTS BUT NEW AGV PISTA OUT OF MY FINANCIAL LEAGUE! GOT EXICITED WITH THE WEATHER AND FOUND OUT THIS MORNING MY MOT HAD RUN OUT DOWN TO GET IT TESTED TOMORROW
