  1. Took the 848 corse se to southport today and got quite a lot of attention and admiring looks from fellow bikers and holiday makers alike,no bike in the world draws attention like a Ducati does and i quite revelled in it to be honest, not smugness cos that's not the type of person I am but pride in owning a ducati, there was also a professional photographer there who takes pictures of bikes and puts them on his web page a couple of days later and for u too look at and buy if u wish, some of the pictures of previous bikes are fantastic so can't wait to see mine on there, see said I wasn't a poser but it turns out I am,comes with the territory I suppose :upyeah:

  2. I like the fact that people stop and look at mine. They never looked twice at my Blades, ZX10, GSXR or R1.

  17. My Ducati still gets attention, but back in the early 90s, pre 916 and Foggy, the 851 used to get loads of attention, as they were so rare. I had Rasta van drivers in Brixton say "Ducati!" to me at the lights, got a "Love the bike!" from a girl in a car next to me in traffic in London, a superb "Superbikee!" (it was written on the tail unit) from an Italian petrol pump attendant somewhere on the Riviera.

Only problem was that everyone thought you must be minted - a bit like owning a Desmo now.

  18. i once had a fit bird blow me a kiss when i thumpa, thumpa'd past her on the 916...i did a little nod and comfort adjusted myself when i was at a respectable distance...i didnt think it was fair to remove my lid and say hi because i didnt want her fawning all over me...i also had another one give me a wave...both of them were near Melton funnily enough...

  19. These experiences are always good.

The only downside is that under a helmet, behind a dark visor, I could be the Elephant Man. So it really is all about the bike, and not much about me.

    Sob! Wail! Moan!

  20. she was probably havving a fag !
