Thought I would share some immo problem trends that are beginning to surface. The ST4S, that uses the separate immo box, was the first bike to manifest immo problems. This was followed by Monsters using the separate immo box. The Monster switched to the immo in dash/ECU system and those bikes are now showing immo problems. In particular the S4R. The latest bikes to show problems are the 749/999 which again use the dash/ECU immo system. I have heard horror stories where main dealers have recommended new dash and ECU to cure the problem. A recent post revealed that an ECU is £1166 + VAT !!!!! The cheapest solution is to disable the immo in the ECU. If you find you have immo problems drop me a PM.
