Immobilizer

  1. Hello,

My first post! I hope you can help?

If my battery drops below 12.8 volts the immobilizer light comes on and the bike will not start. If i charge the battery right up and reprogram the keys it will start and run until the battery drops again.
I have fitted a new immobilizer Ariel but this has not cured the problem
I have been told i am unable to replace just the immobilizer as it is part of the instrument cluster which will cost over £1000 to replace .
    Any ideas??

    Thanks for reading

  2. No idea about the problem but someone will soon be along to help you sort it. They always do on this forum. ;)

    Hello and welcome.

  3. Could be a dash fault. Disabling the immo in the ECU may be your best option.

  4. is the immobilizer part of the dash or the ECU?
If it is part of the ECU could i fit the race ECU (which would enhance the Zard Exhaust) and still have a working immobilizer?

  5. Can anyone help with my last post?
I have now fitted a new battery and immobilizer antenna without success.
There is zero mileage showing on the dash is this part of the same issue?

  6. @chrisw is your man on this kind of issue. He should also be able to sort you out with modifying your ecu.

  7. Thanks, will he pick up the post or do i send him a PM?

  8. He should pick up the post.
Bear in mind he is a professional, so there will be fees involved if he has to do any work on your ecu.
