Imola SPOILER

  1. Panigale take pole and a healthy lead in the superstock race until the red flag, waiting for the restart.

  2. And then 3rd... Not bad though, it's still not got the legs on those pesky Germans though has it?

Just goes to show that it's pretty close at the top

  3. 3rd is fantastic for a brand new bike.

  4. And would have been better had there not been the red flag.

  5. Great start to the day for Checca, pleased for Sykes and Haslam.

  6. just caught it on Erosport hd , Nice :upyeah:

  7. Checa, sykes and Haslam have had a great day at the office.

Glad to see biaggi losing some more ground, as much as I try I just can't like that bloke.

    He looks like a baddy....

  8. I bet he lives in a hollowed out Volcano and has a white cat.

  9. He looks like the child catcher out of chitty chitty bang bang........apparently ;)

  10. I like when they asked Hodgson why they haven't entered the 1199 in WSB this year and he said that Ducati said it will be too good and they'll just end up making more rules lol

  11. Checa takes double at Imola

    Article Link: http://ducatiforum.co.uk/cms/351-checa-takes-double-at-imola/

Checa takes both races in the WSBK at Ducati’s home circuit at Imola in the SBK World Championship on his 1098R.

On the last track it was the Aprilia that was rinsing the competition and Ducati Team Boss Genesio Beviliacqua was getting worried with the RSV4’s pace in Phillip Island. But there will be no worries after todays action where Checa took two comfortable victories whilst Biaggi on the Aprilia only managed a couple of fourth places.

So the ‘old’ 1098R manages to keep its pace still, years after its development. It is looking good for Ducati in SBK this year. Let’s see how the Panigale gets on in BSB and what the GP12 is like in MotoGP. It sure is going to be an interesting year for Ducati.

  12. I must admit I'm pretty chuffed for Sykes. You can't help but like a bloke who tries as hard as him and has that HUGE grin on all the time. He's been underrated in my opinion so it's good to see him get some results now he's got a decent bike underneath him.

  13. +1. He's a terrific bloke. Everyone thought when he shifted from the Yamaha to the Kwak that it represented a real career demotion, but boy has he delivered.
