Hi an anybody offer any advice my n/s rear indicator packed in yesterday, I took the led off and tried it on the other side and again it would not work. I then connected the good on up to the n/s connector and that wouldn't work, so at this time neither would work in any connector. In frustration I put it all back together only to have the o/s working again, also when I have plugged in the trickle charger in tonight it's showing zero which it has never done before. I'm no auto electrician and ain't got a clue. Any advice/help welcome. Thanks.
Try unplugging the faulty LED unit and see what the trickle charger says then. It may be causing a short in the circuit.
I think your n/s led flasher is faulty. When you tried the o/s one you probably had the connections reversed and LEDs don't work with reversed polarity. When you swapped it back the polarity was correct and it worked. The trickle charger should be connected direct to the battery, via the diagnostics connector if you are using a DP one, or by some other connection if it's an Optimate or similar. The charger showing zero has nothing to do with the faulty flasher. Maybe it's faulty too!
Can't bloody believe it, went for a blast around Derbyshire today and after 20 mins they both started working again. When I got back home the trickle charger also worked. Me thinks a loose connection. Thanks for your help.
