What sort of throber schedules the final races of the season at a place in the world where it’s monsoon season? It beggars belief! There’s no way the organisers would have known at the start of the season how important for the championship this weekend would have been. But as an organisation you want your championship to run until the last race of the season so why have it where it rains every afternoon or is expected to at this time of year and when it rains…… it rains! Race one cancelled due to rain. Now scheduled for two full length races on Sunday. So something like 12 less points up for grabs now it two instead of three races. and it could rain again tomorrow!
For me Scott was always third best this season, so if the positions stand as they're that would be correct in my mind.
What a shit anti climax to what has been the best season in a decade. There is a reason they end championships generally in Spain….! The guys who run it should be fired.
Not in places like this and the ‘it’s too wet’ approach that appears to be applied to top flight racing these days
What a let down. Think end result is the right result, but only 1 race over the weekend is a disgrace. Given it’s the deciding round. That 12 point race would have been mad, and likely all guns blazing. What a shame.
Did they? My recording for race two finished with it raining. I didn’t see a race two. Whoever decided to hold the last race of the season there in monsoon season should be sacked.
Same. But I noticed it was on as highlights and there was a 12 lap race. Seemed to be just before dark and very wet. Utterly pointless.
A disappointing end. The first race was very good though. Toprack's bike control on the brakes is unbelievable!
I was pleased with the end result - new WSB Champ. Makes a change and well done to Toprak. Awesome season of racing in general. Pity the round was so disrupted but it made for an exciting race. (Would have said that if I’d got up to watch it live with all the delays and cancelled races)
Yep absolute shite show , looked like there were more people on the grid than there were in the stands too. Is it Dorna who organise it still? If so seems like WSB was a bit of an afterthought when they knocked up the dates.
