Inside Surface Of Fairings

Discussion in 'Detailing and cleaning' started by Old rider, Nov 27, 2015.

  1. Anybody got any tips on cleaning the textured inside of fairings ?

  2. In the bath with washing up liquid and brush. Rinse in shower.

  4. Keith beat me to it - probably easier for a 'batchelor' but thoroughly enjoy bath-time at the end of the summer :smileys: (no, I don't get in there with them..)

  12. Try heavy duty wipes. they won't remove the paint.

  13. Problem is that the grime seems to get right into the texture.
It seems to me that you'll need something that will 'float' it out.
    Will wipes do that ?

  14. Wrap the wipes around an old toothbrush

  15. Tried a couple of things yesterday and found that Cillit Bang worked well.
I made sure that I wiped off any that got onto the outside surface though...

  16. Another vote for wd40 and a cloth.
