Insurance Renewal

Discussion in 'Insurance - Sponsored by Ducati Insurance' started by Ian149, May 14, 2016.

  1. Hi all, my policy is up for renewal next month and I wondered if there are any 55 year olds with an 848 with full termis in the garage that think they have a good deal currently? And just to stop this being too easy, I'm also going to get a KTM enduro that hopefully may go on the same policy.....

  2. Not an 848 but I have been with Ducati insurance since 2012. They are still very competitive for me and my Multistada. 67 now, just renewed last week and it was £164 + £25 for recovery. Maximum no claims.

  3. Thanks for that Richard, that's better than my current policy with Bikessure. I had to arrange it quickly last year and went through the compare websites and finally book online which was not a pleasant experience so this time I thought I'd consult the forums and save time. The last thread on insurance was 2014 and Ducati Insurance was recommended then, so job done. Thanks again!

  4. Get best price from a comparison site then phone someone like Cornmarket who can then try beat your best web price. You just need the reference number for your for quotes on the comparison site.

  5. I'm 31 so not the same age but I'm with bikesure and my renewal was higher this year, but they guarantee to beat any quote. I went on compare the market where quotes were a good £100 cheaper than my renewal!
Rang bikesure told them what I'd been quoted and who with and they beat it by £25.
I now pay £132 fully comp on my 848. I have 9 years no claims.

  6. That's interesting as I'm with bike sure now. Did they downgrade the policy in any way when they discounted it?

  7. No all details like level of cover, annual mileage and excess are the same. I didn't add breakdown as it's cheaper elsewhere and didn't bother with their leather and helmet cover or key replacement either.
Worth ringing them after you've shopped around seeing as they guarantee to beat any quote.
I've used them and Adrian flux which is the car side of the business for a few years now.
