This one's easy. Honestly, pay double rather than go with Bennetts. If you Google 'Bennetts reviews' or 'Bennetts customer service' or 'Bennetts opinions' or 'Bennetts are sh*t' etc etc, then after about 48 hours of reading, you'd come to that conclusion.
I am not sure, by reputation/third hand!, not personal experience, MCE are that top notch. Might be worth some googling/checking.

Sorry... Am having to insure the van this week and the bike in the next couple and the whole thing disgusts me...
corrected! Am with MCE and TBH I've had no need to use them (touch wood), although a mate has and he got a speedy resolution to his problem and they paid out quickly too.
Go for the cheapest quote, they're all as bad as each other. Why this compulsory requirement is not regulated by the government is utterly beyond me, they're all con artists.
Why is it not regulated? because the more profit the insurance companies make, the more tax that is collected... hence the fazing out of third party insurance under the guise that more claims are made on it... It now cost more to insure third party than fc so no one in their right mind would use it.. Ta da! no cheap alternative.. The fact is, yes more claims were made on it as more people were insured third party, but given that ONLY the third party vehicle was covered surely the pay outs were less.. If we all go fully comp then more claims will be made on that and the prices will go up yet again... Its a government sanctioned con. If they cant raise income tax enough they let the companies that control the necessities and compulsories run rampant .. That and most of the old boy network are substantial share holders in these monopolies..

Third Party insurance is a legal requirement yet it somehow magically costs the same as Fully Comp? Insurance providers can pretty much make up their own rules regarding premiums, compete or collude with each other as much as they like and it all takes place in a market that the customer has no real way of opting out? It stinks.
You've opened up a right can of worms here! :Bag: End of the day, read up then make your choice.....just make as sure as possible you've crossed all the t's and dotted all the i's and what can go wrong? :Nailbiting:
Just renewed with Aviva, no hassle, competative price even with the Gold policy which included recovery and kit cover. Had the experience of one of their insured riders running up the arse of my car as I turned right at a junction and according to them it was my fault. Had to fight really hard to get my damage repaired and excess reimbursed. Hope I don't need to find out if they will fight as hard for me but no complaints so far. Andy
After months of denial, this is the letter I received from Aviva regarding my details being sold to heaven knows who. It gently brushes over the 900 or so phonecalls that I received over an 11 month period. They acted after I began tracking down every phonecall I could to a registered address. I also have correspondence thanking me for enabling them to track down the culprits using the details I collected. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. Incidentally, I never made a motor claim. The giveaway was that someone had made a claim and Aviva mistakenly had on record my contact details for the person that had made a claim.
