Question, if I may... The next thing I would like to get is a intercom system that will allow me and my wife to talk whilst also hearing my nav and listen to music at the same time. We both have Schuberth C3's so they have the SRC system but that uses helmet speakers, now I could modify that so that I can connect my custom earplugs (3.5mm jack) into but that will void the warranty and they are terribly expensive, £600 the pair!!!!! Any recommendations?
Autocom is the answer. I've got one on each of my bikes and the sat-nave connects through it. The phone blue tooths to the sat nav and works through it, the sat nav has mp3 but the Autocom has aux input for i-pod etc. We can talk to each other, both talk to anybody that rings whilst we are riding or listen to music. each input has a different priority so for example the sat nav input mutes the mp3 when it is giving audible instructions. When we speak priority is given to our voices. Excellent system but from around 80mph upwards it is difficult to use the phone facility. I find it is best to set the phone to auto answer and reduce speed down to 60 or less. Invariably the caller has no indication that I'm on the bike. Having said that, we very rarely talk to each other and never bother with music but it really earns its keep when we are in a foreign city looking for a landmark or hotel etc with both of us looking out. The other thing I have found with Autocom is that their technical support is outstanding and they will sell systems or accessories direct to you over the phone.
So how are rider and passenger connected to each other and what is the cost? Also where does the Mic go?
