Hi I am new here, i recently purchased what was my dream bike growing up, a SP2 851 its Missing a few bits ecu and radiator most of the fairings. Airbox But it's a gen SP2. and it's mostly red.

HI thanks for the warm welcome. I have another project bike which i call the "Dogcati" which started as a ST4 and someone really turned it ugly. this one is a race bike project. it will be finished much faster. The SP2 has obviously seen better days but it has some interesting stuff like a complete rear guard and all the original switch gear and also the original exhausts, I have the cast iron discs. but missing some rather large bits like the fairing's, airbox radiator, ECU. One of the seat pads as well , I am not sure on the seat is correct as its looks like later decals. Its' a later build number though. The calipers are wrong its missing the fuel cap but pretty sure like the Radiator they are the same as a Paso. It came from the Kevin grant collection Kevin was a large collector he also had one of the most frequently raced Brittens V1000's. I don't intend to restore it fully just tidy it up and get it running and road legal
Okay here hopefully are some pics. At some point I guess I will have to do a list of what's missing. But as I said earlier its a lot. I am not planing a concourse restoration usable an tidy enough is the goal. the engine appears unmolsted it has a lot of original bits The bike hasn't been touched as the priority is the Racebike. Which the plan is to be a Pre 89 851. we have been assembling all the bits we need. We will borrow the Ohlins suspension off the SP2, mod a monster frame use a "slightly stronger crank-cased" engine.
