For the last couple of weeks I'm getting intrusive adverts on my phone (HTC One) filling the screen 3-4 times a day . I have various Anti advert apps but they don't do anything malware/spyware but nothing is found. They seem to be from Adchoices AdSense or AdWords I hate adverts at the best of times but this is taking the piss.
itll be an app that has recently updated with new t+cs i expect,quite a few lowend apps are adding adverts etc to their already built userbase. takes the piss i reckon and i delete the offending apps imediately. read your latest app updates n go see the comments on them,one at least will have people raging about the changes etc and youll know which one to delete.
Yeah, it's an app thing I imagine. Best thing you can do is back up personal data and factory reset the phone clearing all the data, then download apps only 1 by 1; anyone can stick an app on Google play as long as they have a play developer account, and they aren't vetted well like they are on iOS, so start from scratch. Also turn off App backup's otherwise your gmail account will just download the same sh*t again.
Apps usually tell you they are supported through advertising in the info if you read before downloading. Free apps are more prone to this. Paid apps much much less so. Free App developers have to make income somehow but occasionally you can also get a bad bad app that takes the michael
