  1. Good morning everyone
Time to get the bike ready for the TT
Struggling to get a Continental race attack 2 endurance for the rear ‍♂️ 200/55/17
No stock in the uk ???
    Been offer some Metzeler M9rr’s
Has anyone had any experience with them ?
    Thanks in advance

  2. I have found the M9RR to be one of the best tyres out there.

  3. Or you could try the Metzeler Racetec RR K3 Endurance. Likely to be less capable in the wet than the M9RR but still a very good tyre. Andy

  4. Thanks Andy they don’t have any K3 rears at the moment. It seems that Covid has messed everything up !

  5. I’d have suggested the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SC but they don’t do a 200/55 in the SC3, only a 200/60. I was impressed by it on my Panigale V4. Andy

  6. These tyres are for my Aprilia RSV4 RF
I always rode on super corsa’s but never got on with them in the wet
So I swapped to continentals A couple of years ago

  7. Not in the sizes that you want , but I've also had trouble finding a road rear tyre for my Classic '79 900SS Endurance race spec bike.
My sources tell me the problem seems to be that the usual dealers are avoiding taking in stock to only possibly sell, probably a result of the recent Covid lock downs.
I managed to find a medium compound race Avon AM23 even with a discount it's cost me £215, for a tyre that'll be lucky to see 2,000 miles. That would just about see me over to the island and back for the Classic TT/MGP.
Years back now I destroyed one in a day at Misano.

  8. Great tyres the M9 RR. On my second set - first on the Monster and now the Suzuki.

Turn in easily without falling over, and they straighten up nice and easy as well. Plenty of grip, lots of silica for wet weather. When this set wear out I will put another set on.

Talking of the Isle of Man - is your suspension IoM ready :D ?

  9. Well sort of
It was set up for my weight but the rear shock could do with re-valving
The Rf is a bit stiff anyway!
