So I asked about a couple of tablets, but just wondered what people's thoughts were on the ipad mini? I am able to get a good deal on one so thought I would see what peoples thoughts are?
We have 6 I Pads in our family, 4 large, 2mini. Fabulous piece if technology. Expensive but worth every penny. You may question if you need one but I guarantee after having one for a while you will not be able to put it down.
Only real question you have to ask yourself is about the size. Do you want a mini iPad? Why? Why not a full-sized one where everything is bigger and easier to read? And then you have to remember that the new one is going to have (or has - but our shop still hasn't seen one yet) a retina screen. I'm not a big fan of the screen on the iPad 2 that the boss gave me (his cast off). The retina screen is the one to have. With all things like computers, phones and tablets, you are likely to get rid of them in the future because they have become too slow. If you get something today with outdated technology, you should know that it will be fine today, but you will end up changing it a bit sooner in the future because it will become breathless quicker than a more recent model. I have a Macbook, an iPhone and this iPad 2. I don't use the iPad much. Takes more time to type (like I couldn't be bothered typing this on an iPad). For me it falls midway between the computer and the iPhone. Either for people this is the Goldilocks "just right" or it isn't. It isn't for me much, but it's very personal.
