When I went a few years ago it'll be chaos getting in and out, I was on a bike but still over an hour in a car I wouldn't know where to start. It will be packed, the Italians will already be there partying believe me. If you plan to buy food/drink you need to order and buy a voucher then proceed to the guys serving. As for spectating I'm not sure, if you haven't got a grandstand ticket you just need to find a spot, I'd guess the first couple of chicanes would be good or the bank prior to the Ducati grandstand.
I was staying 20 mins away from the track but still took 50 mins to drive to Scarperia and park the van then walk 20 mins too the track (never park at the track will take hours to get out) saw plenty of Ducati's. Would have said hello had i seen the post, A good tip to anyone thinking of going book accommodation very early, we booked last November and in most case's you don't have to leave a deposit until about two weeks before the race so plenty of time to cancel if you don't go.
