Perfectly normal. Although I have a slightly different tactic. I go in the garage to find she has gone to bed when I finally go back into the part of the house where the humans live.
there is also a window of opportunity during all the bollox on the early evening tv………eastenders coronation street….good hour and a half there….
My missus usually asks me " r u not going out to the garage tonite " usually about 7.00pm just as the soaps start

Just back in from doing the same...garage too full of repaired and part painting bodywork to have room to stay in there tonight!
Women have this thing which requires you to accompany them, even if it is watching the TV or listening to music. It must be part of being a woman. A bit like my basset hound really, who requires you to be present even when she is asleep.

The joy of being single again can do what I want when I want No bloomin man will ever tell me what I can and can't do with my bikes again !That's my domain , my bikes and after years of being a decent partner who sacrificed her bikes for peace at home ...bollocks to it
You need one that behaves like a budgerigar, drop a tea-towel over their heads and off to sleep they go...
