Greetings folks, Following the demise of the Ducatisti website, I've been reluctant to get involved with another one. However, I found this one purely by chance last weekend, and recognised some handles, so here I am, in the virtual bar, with virtual wallet in hand. Still nursing an old 750 Elefant along (Yes I know its only half a Ducati, scoff, scoff, scoff), and still dreaming of Alpine trips. I got as far as Dover in Jubilee weekend and the Datatool on the Duchess gave out in spectacular fashion, causing my trip to be aborted, but there we are. I'm in the chair. Any old virtual friends and acquaintances, I'll be delighted to shake a virtual hand. Cheers Mahout.
Well I'm new to Ducati's and this site but I'll join you. Ps this is the Internetz.......there is no bar really
Hello and welcome, I'm a relative newbie too, only been an owner since May, didn't know about the old forum, but there are some brilliant guys and gals on here, so have fun!
I remember your name from Ducatisti, but I'm feeling a bit thick ! Only just got the name/bike thing, Mahout, Elephant jockey, ....Doh!!! Welcome anyway, plenty here from the old site, plenty of laughs, and info building up nicely.
Did I understand you have an alarm on your Elephant? Why? No one is likely to steal it. (rationally, too old, too rare for bits, too conspicuous, not worth enough on the Bay). But welcome back. I hope you junk the alarm and make it over to wine and cheese land.
Ah I feel at home already. Thanks folks for the warm welcome. Hope to see you folk about Box Hill one of these fine days. Is there still a Ducatisti gathering there now and then? I have been down there a few recent weekday evenings on Nellie, but all I got was sidelong looks and knowing grins from the rice burning fraternity. She kept her cool and left a deposit in the car park:redface: as we left. What's this about Nellie not being worth a Datatool? Sheesh, she's priceless! Take care, and it's great to be back. Ciao Mahout
