  1. Hi!
I am a Swedish Multistrada GT rider and I will visit IoM for the second time at the end of May. So, can someone help me with some nice Ducati roads from Harwich to Heysham? I want to avoid major roads if it is possible! :) All suggestions are welcome!!

  2. How long have you got to get from Harwich to Heysham, and how far do you want to go?

  3. Hi!
Ferry from Holland arrives Harwich 06.30 in the morning and it is about 500 km to Heysham, ferry to IoM leaves about midnight. So there´s lot of time to spend on nice Ducati roads! :)

  4. Just telling Google Maps to "avoid highways" gives an estimate of 6½ hours; throw in a couple of food stops, and you might not have that much time to spare, but let's have a look...

I'm not sure about the start of your journey, haven't ridden around there much.

Once you get a bit further up the country, you could maybe head for Peak District, in particular the Cat & Fiddle should be an absolute hoot on a Multistrada (Google Map). I know it's covered in speed cameras these days, just stick to the limits and don't slow down for the corners... :-D

Or you could take a longer detour further north, somewhere through the Yorkshire Dales. This route along the A684 would get you across the country with plenty of interest, but might be a bit out of your way.

    Anybody got other suggestions?

  5. Thanks,
I will look at your suggestions and maybe give them a chance, start planning in a few days!
    Brake less lean more!
