  1. As per title, any recommendations for somewhere to stay in Stelvio national park in Italy? Probably be heading in from Switzerland/Davos direction :)upyeah:) and looking for at least one night, maybe more..plan is to see some of the Dolomites and maybe even a bit sightseeing around Lake Garda or Lake Como.

  2. Well, Im booked up for Worms just above Black Forest on Saturday, Goldau in Switzerland for Sunday...then heading to Cortina in the Dolomites/Italy on the Monday. Davos and Ofenpass...maybe Stelvio, Passo Giau...choices! Cant wait:cool:

  3. Have a great trip :upyeah:

  4. In the Dolomites i'd recommend the melodia del bosco hotel, its in alta Badia. We were there in late may for the Giro.

  5. Lots of roadside hotels and guesthouses in the Alps/Dolomites display signs saying rooms to let (zimmer etc) and they often show a picture of a motorbike meaning bikes welcome. Surely pretty easy to find somewhere to stay as you go along. Just certain specific areas may be very busy, booked up or expensive though.

  6. Brilliant trip on an even more brilliant bike! Accommodation super easy to find each day on internet(search on Iphone never failed), much easier than knocking doors.
    We did Holland/Germany/Switzerland/Italy/Austria/Germany/Holland.

  7. I've just come back from a tour which included one night in the Albergo Adele in Bormio, quite close to Stelvio. It's a great hotel with helpful/friendly staff, and a massive garage which we stored 4 bikes in with plenty of room for more.
From Bormio we rode the Stelvio and Umbrail Passes before heading towards Cortina, where we stayed in the Hotel Columbia. Another great hotel, within walking distance of the town, but no garage parking. It was far enough out of town, in a decent area and we weren't worried about our bikes.
You'll have a great trip - it's an amazing area!
PS. Watch out for plain-clothed stealthy speed-cop B'stards in Switzerland.
