Decided last night to clear out the garage. Moved the bike onto the drive, soon all the crap had engulfed the bike. After a while decided to move the bike around and put on the other side of the car. Foolishly jumped on the bike with no helmet, literally rode onto the road did a U turn and put it back on the drive ....... job done. Looked round and there was a police car with 4 coppers inside. Evening Sir !! you do know it's a criminal offence to ride a vehicle on a public road with no helmet......err.....yes, but ...... He was fine and ended up chatting about his Monster - he said they came out in 1994, I didn't feel it was the time to correct him and say 1993 !! Anyway he was a decent chap and off they went but what are the chances of a police car driving at the end of the road at that exact second - literally. How often do they drive past a burglar walking across the road with a 32" plasma under his arm. Never I bet.
Blimey!... I'm always getting my bike out and in on the road outside without a helmet... To be fair, it would be rather petty if they gave you a fine though!
