1098 It's Finished!

Discussion in '848 / 1098 / 1198' started by ditchvisitor, Feb 16, 2016.

  1. Well finally have the 1098S back from Baines and she is all back together, am rather happy with how everything has turned out, all I need is some asv levers which I should be ordering later. I think it looks so much better with the number boards removed and the carbon belly. Am very impressed with the belly pan and the carbon v, both very easy to fit and the finish is great.

  12. She looks great. I might have missed an earlier post but am not sure what they did in total. Can you elaborate?

  13. Take a look here... http://ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/fettling-improving.36859/

I also managed to pick a shorty ASV brake lever off eBay for a bargain, just need a clutch now!

  14. Apologies I read your message wrong! Baines did the following:
Belt change and service (I supplied belts from Exige)
Removed forks and sent to Ohlins for complete rebuild
    Bled brakes
    Fitted new airbox breather pipe
    Fitted Samco hoses (I supplied)
Set up suspension for my weight
Sent the tank to be resprayed
He also replaced any nuts/bolts/clips etc that needed it so she is in tip top shape!

Went out for my first ride yesterday on her since I've had her back, what a difference since the forks were rebuilt and the suspension has been set up properly. So much more compliant on the road and turns in far better, also loving the shorty brake lever.
