Picked up the 1098 today. What an utterly utterly glorious thing! Why did Ducati stop making these? Stupendously wonderful machine. Admittedly, after filtering through twenty miles of Glastonbury traffic riding back from Bristol my left hand now has a grip like a horse's bite but that's a small price to pay. After my Speed Triple this is just fabulous. Love the wheelie-popping bottom end, thunderous mid-range and the top-end rush. And the noise..... Can't believe I'm not going to get pulled with those Termis, but who cares. I'll post a pic tomorrow when I've taken some. Didn't get off it today till it was dark. I'm now poor but very happy.
Why did they stop making them? Could they never sold But I agree, brilliant bikes and I loved mine dearly though I recently sold it for a new Tuono. I hope Ducati sort it out and deliver a new super naked soon, I'd buy one in a shot. Enjoy the bike.
Oh, and by the way if you want a genuine Ducati Performance carbon hugger in as new condition then let me know. I have a pic of it in this album and make me an offer and we can work out a deal.
oohh Poop did I miss someone selling a DP touring seat for a SF? & Matt's a great guy I got the Heat shield off him it was Perfect, take a look!
I absolutely love my SF848, so much so that my Multi 1200 is being sorely neglected. I'm going to Europe in September and I really want to take the SF. I am even contemplating trading the Multi for the SF1098. Not ridden the big one but am going to try to in the next couple of weeks.
Welcome were you at Hunters last night? Keep thinking about changing for a 1098 be interesting to see that ShaunR thinks
If you mean Hunters Lodge Wincanton then yes I was. I was there with a mate on white S1000RR. I'm curious as to whether the guy on the black R1 who did repeated third gear 100 mph wheelies past the pub is going to keep his licence. The Bikesafe copper in the carpark was very interested in this exhibition and seemed to be discussing it with someone on his phone..
