  1. i just have to throw this out there....

This has got to be one of the most expensive production 125's going... cant believe the RRP which is a stonking £9,671!!!

    I do like it though....

  3. haha... I didn't say i was buying one! Like i said i can't believe the price.

I agree you could buy a few great bikes for that price.

  4. I was working on a site 10 or so years back when the bosses boy turned up on a 3.5k vespa and parked it next to my 2.5 k 900ss.. I don't mind a vespa but you couldn't tell me or ANYONE else walking past that the ped was worth more than the bike... its just silly.

  5. Surely the nature of a Vespa is that they're a park-it-anywhere hop-on-hop-off casual scoot? The originals were cheap and disposable, good fun to ride and extremely practical / handy but never a status symbol... the idea of a "luxury" Vespa or them being a status symbol just seems odd.

You see loads of Mod-dle aged men on Vespas and Lambrettas heading for the coast in Lincs, or in packs going to rallys, they're nearly always fat men on tiny scoots and frequently broken down by the A15. They look silly on A roads or motorways, only ever look cool when they're a battered 60s/70s original ridden by a stylish youth in a city. Anything else is a bit dismal / tragic. You see all these chopped and racing jobs and it blows my mind, they spend a fortune to look daft and perhaps extract all of the performance you'd get from a SuperDream... *shakes head, baffled*
