Doesn’t exactly look like a project regardless. I just hope it’s got an MoT so we can have a ride out.
Ill be heading south from cornerspeed around 17/18 august if anyone fancied a mini convoy down towards bucks...we could meet at OYB?

Yeah, it's supposed to run down behind the belts in a channel and then between the V, so wonder why that's been changed?
No idea but not surprised as rite bike aka wbak were the last to do a belt change which is why nelly is gonna go through it
yeah I recon it was damaged and they just put another one on, but could be the original miss-routed, looks like a different fitting though.
im pretty sure its the original - the patina and fittings looked period to me but im no expert https://www.motorparts-online.com/en/ducati/749-999/2002-2007/oil-hose/201406173
Early bikes, pre 2005 or so had the oil line running tight into the cylinder with a Y-piece that was bolted to the cylinder. They also had hard pipe as well as braided hose along the front of the rear cylinder. The later bikes, 2006 or so, had a different pipe set, all braided hose and a normal T-piece that was left "floating", not secured to anything. These later bikes run the hose outside the cam covers. If I can remember, having the hose secured tight to the cylinder caused heat related problems with the hose and they were changed/rerouted. Looks fine and original IMO. Bike looks to be in great condition btw.
