Hello all, I'm John from Wales, a long-time owner of 1970s Guzzis. Recently I've managed tp salt away enough funds for a new project and had been considering getting something pre-war and interesting. However, I've just come accross a possibility which has blown me off track and could be really nice after a year or so of work or on the other hand could just turn out to be a huge money pit. It's a V-reg (1981 I think) 900 SSD Darmah which hasn't been run for ages. Possibly since 1998. It's all there but looks a bit sad. The engine block is white and furry. The fairing is on the bike and the tank and seat unit stored seperately to stop them getting nocked about. It has Conti silencers. I've rebuilt/refurbished a good few bikes before but never a Ducati. I'll make a post soon in the vintage section for advice about whether I should even talk to the owner about the bike.
