Taken the mileage up from 4000 to 7000. Use it nearly everyday for a mixture of 60 mile runs and 10 mile hops into town ( yes you could say I commute on it ) Still looks as good as new but the rear Michelin Classic is on the brink of being replaced with a Pilot sport 3. My only disappointment is that I have only met one fellow Sport Classic on the road even though I live in well populated SW London and I'm always out and about. In this case it was a Burnt Yellow (is there any other colour? :wink biposto with (I think) Italian plates going in the opposite direction around Clapham Common. I only had time to nod (as did he) before he was gone. Never seen them in City or West End bike bays either...oh I tell a lie I did see a silver GT1000 outside Dave Robertsons Wandsworth workshop. So where are you all - do you only take yours out for Sunday blasts into the country?
I'm in Cambridge and although I ride almost daily, it's mainly just commuting. I rarely have time to go out on a proper ride I know there's one more burnt yellow SC in Cambridge, as I saw it twice.... the only other time 've seen a few was at the Bike Shed event in London.
Funnily enough I was thinking of going to the next Bikeshed event so There might be another SC in the car park. Is the event worth it?
Think I've only ever seen a handful in the last 6 years ..... wouldn't it be great to see 20 - 30 of them at a meet one day, all the different colours, mono's and biposto's, GT's the one's all tricked up, that I would love to see.
Well the best place must be Italian Day at the Ace Cafe (don't know when the next one is ) I haven't been but I did see a picture of eight SCs in a row - all varieties and colours - lovely !
I really liked the first event. Some really nice bikes, nice atmosphere. It's a small event but worth going to in my opinion.
In this months PS magazine it says the 10th October at 6:00pm ..... Thursday night ? no chance of me being there.
Italian night once a month at the Ace, I think its the 2nd Thursday. Italian day at the Ace is yearly in early May on a Sunday.
I live in Sth London and I've seen three other GT's, never seen an Sc, one red one in Kings Cross on the day I bought mine last year, another red one in Wroxton when I went on the Monster weekender and another one in Islington last week that had exactly the same cans, it sped of just as I got caught behind a bus! There were a few on the Gentleman Ride out, I'm heading to the Bikeshed event today but I'm not taking the bike as I'm going for a few beers after. The yellow one in Clapham has been mentioned a few times as it goes.
Mine is also in South London and in 6 years of ownership I seen about 5 others, but I kinda of like that.
I wonder if the yellow one in Clapham is me (as I'm always around there ) or the Italian registered monoposto SC ???
If prices will carry on increasing at this rate, buying SC was probably the best investment ever  ducati sport classic 1000 | eBay
Oh dear oh dear... If this isn't an example of the '£1m AC Cobra effect' I don't know what is... For such an expensive price you would think the seller would give a bit more detail (little details like what year it is )...but no it seems they are both greedy AND lazy! If it realises 25% of that price I will eat my flat hat  Another point - I really don't understand how someone can buy a bike - spend a small fortune in improvements and bling (mostly bling) - and yet do only 600 miles in (5-7?) years. More for looking at than riding I suppose.
Yeah it is a bit of a strange one.... not 0 miles, 'still in a shipping crate' one, not original (albeit it may have all original parts included) and it looks like someone spend a lot to make this bike 'their own' and then just kept it as a garage queen... strange people
