Well I had a good time, good input from Whitham helping me sort out front suspension set up which instantly helped with turn in and confidence, although I did have one or two problems.... Thundering down back straight and a hundred and something just hooked sixth then start bashing down box through the slipper then...oh fuc I'm jammed in neutral!!! ran off the the track at end of straight but managed to pull it up enough to just trundle to a stop on grass, bit heart in mouth tho! So not wanting to miss any track time and wishing to ride it home I pushed it back to pits and lay it over on a grass bank borrowed some tools and a tube of snot and ripped the fuc*er to bits to find out what had happened, the linkage that hooks over selector drum had jammed on one of the pegs on the end of the drum, I freed it up and gave it a tap inwards with a hammer and punch to stop it happening again and was back on track 45mins later.... ..much to the amusement of all there.... Had the gopro mounted on fairing so will link some youtube footage soon. Really liking the new Bridgestone S20 tyres, they are such an improvement over the 016's, fast warm up and seem good on track, handled the abuse rather well, did spin up a couple of times coming onto back straight on full throttle corner exit but never felt like I would lose it so I kept the throttle pinned, very predictable. Daz.
