Jelling With The 749 ? Steep Curve.

  1. After a diet of R1's and various other jap stuff even a Duc 600ss which I have just sold I have bought a 749 funny how the 600ss got me stuck on V twins.
So my first ride out today about 120 miles round trip through to Devils Bridge in Kirkby Lonsdale and through Carnforth and back into home territory, How did the 749 hold up ?

Extremely well I am pleased took a few miles to stop looking for the power rush and ride the torque but it turned out to be quicker than I expected and more comfortable
Down side engine noisy not knocking just sounds like it's working . Clutch grabby but liveable.

Best bits all the attention it gets and I secrely enjoy it . Its a Dream Machine painted Xerox 2003 model and it turns heads ...................
Especially little kids and big ones overall I had a great run out today went as quick as normal and came back impressed.

I can't wait to go out on her again and will post more thoughts.

    Here's to Jelling.

  2. If you're near to Leeds then have a trip to Alpha Suspension at Morley. You will love the bike even more.

  3. Actually I am a techy and will be fitting Ktech kits if the "jelling" goes well but thanks for the advice.

  4. Clutch is easy to shut up. A bit.

  6. You mean the quiet clutch mod ? Previous owner has done it but it still rattles a little when hot I will investigate further .

  7. Should just jangle when clutch lever is pulled in.

  8. It does some slight jangle hen ticking over ut not too bad,
