I had a phone call last week from the police saying they have recovered my Jetski. I couldn't believe it cos it was stolen five years ago from a Jetski service centre along with eight others. The insurance wouldn't pay out because the owner had moved the ski to an unsecured unit next door and he claimed all the skis were under brokerage. Even the courts went his way. Anyway I had thought the ski was long gone. Well after a spot check in Plymouth it turns out that a guy had just bought my ski for £3500 and was out for his first run on it. Poor bastard! Anyway it looks like I got to go pick it up. I hope the r1,1000cc 140hp engines still in it.
Glad you got it back and bet that you were amaized Good to see that others on her have skis. Been thrashing my GP1300r round the Solent, south coast and over to France for years.
Sounds like motorcycling but you don't get hurt much when you fall off. Also good for very hot days when you don't want to wear leathers.
Yeah I'm landed to get it back. Excuse the pun. . How far across to France then Kev?. I used to go across the Bristol channel, about 27 miles which was good fun.
I've jetskied Dover to Calais and back (50 miles) plus also Christchurch harbour to Alderney (Channel Islands) and back, that was 155 miles in a day. Set off with a claim seas and on the return it got up to force 5, so became a bit more fun. As for spawn of the devil, no different to an MX bike but at sea. So does that put bikes in the same category ?
