Jorge racing at Assen?

  1. He's had an op to plate his collarbone in Barcelona and is rumoured to be returning, hoping to race on Saturday. I was watching Speedway yesterday, Tia Woffenden racing a week after a similar op. It took me over 6 months to recover from mine. Hard.

  2. I was mountain bike racing three weeks after my initial broken collar bone. Should really have waited as it pulled apart almost straight away and caused such problems I ended up with plates.

  3. The are DD racers who have raced with a broken collar bone 2 weeks after...hell Dave Jenkins poped his shoulder, gaffa taped it back as the medics didnt know, raced, got some good points and sorted it when he got home...

  4. Perhaps Yamaha will lend his bike to Cal.. :upyeah:

  5. He's on his way back to the track...

  6. I reckon he may race, just to finish in the points. Lots of drugs, strap-a-dictomy on the shoulder and he'll be away. Top 10 easy. Unless Bautista mistakes his bike for Rossi's lol

  7. You might well be right . After all tom sykes lost the wsb tittle by 1/2 a point . Which I didnt agree with at all by the way . A race is a race whether its 1 lap 5 laps or 50 laps you cant have half a race so how they came up with half points i`ll never know.

  8. And he needs to keep as few points behind pedders as he can. And look how well others have done with collar bones, not done one myself but seems once plated its good as new pretty quickly, given the number who race straight away

  9. Oooooooh, how much would we love to see that.

  10. He'll race if he can, think part of the medical test is to do a press up, ouch! I've raced 2 weeks after having one plated, I nearly fainted when the race adrenalin went down and that was only on a 250 with 82bhp not a Moto GP monster. It feels ok if you just laze around but not if you try to do anything at all physical with it. He'll get prescription painkillers but nothing that would fail the drug test rules, they're hard men.

  11. Remember Edwards drugged up the eyeballs at Silverstone the other year? Bust collarbone and raced, year later Cal exactly the same, then we've got the Lowes twins done the same, my guess Jorge will be tree if he gets the nod

  12. Eurosport said today that he has to complete the morning warm up to be able to take his place on the grid. That is written into the rules but not sure how many laps he has to do.

Might be a big ask to do warm up, start 12th on the grid and stay 15th or higher and get points. If it rains that might help him but not if he ends up on the deck again.

  13. Attrition will mean keeping his factory bike upright even at 85% pace he'll get a point or two imo

  14. Seal a new engine, start from pit lane, get a few points, pass all the caravan ducati's along with a few CRT bikes!

  15. He's 10th on the grid so doesnthave to come from pit lane...even easier

  16. The guy is a monster.

Fair play to anybody who gets on a bike a few hours after a crash/operation. These guys don't get enough credit

  17. Well he's been declared fit to race, will start from 12th on the grid.

thats a champion right there, good on him.
