JPDiag and Code Nr Recovery

  1. Good morning gents,

As I have stated in the past I bought the bike without a red key and the code card.
I was able to duplicate a couple of keys, to be on the safe side.
While using the JPDiag programme, I wanted to deactivate the immobiliser, but it is asking for the 5 digits code number.
In a previous effort, I got the advice from ChrisW, that if I could ''open and read'' the map of my ECU and knowing what I was looking for, I could find the code in the form of a number of 0Nr,0Nr,0Nr,0Nr,0Nr.
Now I got a progamme to open the map in a text and or hex form, but I can't seem to be able to locate that number.

Anyone with expertise to show me the right way, mostly welcomed.

  2. It's a little more complex than that. The code number is held in Hexidecimal Code and to retrieve it requires interrogation of both the ECU and the Dash. It's not something that I can do. I have a contact in OZ who can do the work http://www.riderlogic.com.au/

The immo bypass in JPDiag is a temporary thing. It is just a quick way of entering the info off the code card instaed of having to use the throttle. Once the ignition is turned off the immo becomes active again.

  3. Chrisw,
thank you very much. I don't want to have the bike immobilised for a long time, sending the ECU and gauge away and waiting to get it back. If it's proven to be so difficult I'll pass, and sometime in the future, I will either have the to get a secondhand ECU with a DP map, or send my ECU to someone in Europe and have it reflashed with the DP map.
Thanks again and if in the future you have another idea on how to solve this, please keep me in mind.
