Hi all, I just bought my new to me silver 2006 ST3 yesterday (23/12/2015). Rode it the 1.5 hours home and enjoyed it. I thought I'd put it on centre stand in garage, but didn't realise the right mirror was about to get caught in some heavy duty racking while I looked at the rear of the bike as it went backwards - done this sort of thing countless times over many years, so putting it on the centrestand ripped my right mirror clean off from the fairing. My heart sank because there is a law that says you have to have both mirrors working and in use as far as I know, and I want to ride it again ASAP. Seen one for sale in California on fleabay at okay sort of money, but it will take ages to get here. Has anyone got a silver mirror for sale for an 06 ST3, the newer shape model, the Fuel injected 3v version? I'm new to this forum and hope someone can help? Thanks in advance, Ray.
All newbies are Dave. Fools and horses thing. Dont think its illegal without. Doubt you'll get nicked for it if it is. Might be able to get you a loan of one from old shape st4, think they're the same but wont be silver.

Thanks Roadtrip, The top link is for the older one and they aren't the proper fit or length, and are from the earlier round headlamp model, and the other one is the one I referred to. I really appreciate your kind help, its appreciated. Thanks to all other input too. I also googled the legality of it all after posting this thread - as you do, and realised it is legal with or without one or both mirrors, so hey ho, riding with the left mirror (when its dry) here we go :wink: Thanks Ray (and Dave) :greatbritain:
That's great, although I understand they're a different length and fitting based on what I've read. If you aren't far away on the basis that I hope I'm wrong and the earlier one fits for a quick loan, I'm in Shepperton. Where is the spare mirror? Cheers, Ray.
When my Streetfighter was delivered in September the RH mirror was broken during transit, just took the other off for balance until it was sorted. Mirrors are not needed for legality or MOT purposes - just ride quicker and you won't need them but watch for ice on a morning while doing so. Welcome and Merry Christmas
All ST3 mirrors are the same as they all had the more modern design of fairing, and none had the round headlight. ST2 mirrors are different as are early ST4s with the round headlight, but later ST4s had the same fairing as all ST3s. If it is advertised as an ST3 mirror then it should be the correct one for all ST3s.
