Just bought myself an S2R 1000

  1. It's a 2007 bike and has a few stone chips on the fly screen.

    Also had the usual engine paint flaking but the previous owner BRUSH painted with bright silver.

    Anyone sprayed their motor and if so, what colour did you find was the best match?

  5. To be honest I do prefer the air cooled motors to the S4R I have, they just look nicer

  8. Splendid, keep to the aircooled model, they look nicer and that engine is one of the best road engines.....ever!


    I've not had to deal with much paint flaking but I remember Hammerite smooth silver being suggested as a close match.

    Not knowing what paint the goon of a previous owner used, I'm gunna try nitromors to get it off.

  11. To be honest, replacing the cat with a link pipe will have a bigger effect on the noise than adding endcans.
