Need a spare key for my 848 evo. Spoke to Ducati Glasgow who say it will be £43(plus vat probably) for the blank which I will then have to get cut, return to them to programme for which they will charge(will depend on time taken). This seems a bit excessive, I have the original key and code card so thought it would be a lot easier. Are there any other companies that can provide this service?
Most key cutting places can order and code I would imagine - they can check your key and tell you if the can do it. Mate had his Mitsubishi L200 key copied and coded for around £30 all in.
You should be able to find a car key specialist who can clone your current key. They need to use a T5 transponder. If you were near Leeds I could do it for you.
Thanks guys theres a couple of places nearby that say they can do it but only after they've seen the key. They are quoting between £27 and £55.
If you are struggling getting a key/transponder I can supply one for £10. A good Automotive Key place should have the kit to clone your key onto it. Google AD90 key programmer and that is what I use.
