hi guys , just been going through all the docs for my bikes and discovered that i've only ever got 2x keys with my 1199s . can anyone let me know if the red key was suppose to be part of the package? ive bought bike NEW from duc dealer in london (which is no longer D dealer) , so not sure what can i do now?
No just 2 black keys and key card with the number on it. As far as I know they gave up with red keys with the 749/999.
thanks, dont think i'e seen the card... will double check tonight. if it is missing, would Ducati give me replacement one?
Actually I've just looked for my card and can't find it, so maybe there isn't one after all and I'm just thinking back to my 1098 days as they came with two keys and a card. I wouldn't worry you have the two keys, I think the card was for if you lost both keys it had a number on it to get a replacement.
ok, nice one. ive just ordered 999r and apparently it comes with shit loads of keys , cards and codes, so its started me thinking
999R nice! Yeah I had a 749S and bought it with out the red key not realising there was supposed to be one included. Had to put up with 3 years of scare mongering whilst I owned it that it would all go wrong and cost me a fortune to sort out. Never did have a problem. Enjoy the bike, I wish I'd kept mine as they are now an appreciating asset!.
