Hi, Has anyone else on here been invited to Kiska in Austria to give feedback on a bike they are helping to design which is due to come out in 2016?......I have!
Yeah, I've been asked to go, so has El Toro. Quite honestly I'm getting a bit fed up of having to help Gerald out, you'd think he'd have learned to design stuff himself by now
No still got it. I've been trying not to spend money on it which is why I haven't been on here for a while!
I've got a feeling it will be a KTM - the CEO and founder of Kiska is chief designer for KTM - but they do work for a number of motorcycle manufacturers....
KTM own Husqvarna and it is well known that they are developing a lot of new models. Their stated aim is to position Husqvarna as more on the modern classic and all-rounder side than KTM's 'ready to race' brand and they aim for Husqvarna to be no 3 in Europe within the next 5 yrs!
It may be more interesting if it is a Husqvarna than a KTM - they are coming up with some interesting concepts 2014 EICMA: Husqvarna 401 Svartpilen and Vitpilen Concepts
While you're there could you ask them to to stop using fasteners from B&Q to screw KTMs together and buy proper ones that don't rust? Give John Bloor a ring and get him to give you a new Triumph to take with you so you can show them how it should be done.
Had a very interesting trip. There were 9 of us in total in 2 focus groups. Wasn't the bike I was expecting to be but I really can't divulge any info as I had to sign a legal disclaimer first thing. Great specs and sure to be very popular, probably said too much already. Great place and great offices, I'd love to work somewhere like that!
