Kriega Tank Adaptor

  1. Does anyone use this to tank mount their U.S. Packs?

I just got one and it is fantastic, I had the U.S. 30 with a sleeping bag and other bits running the length of my tank, makes quite a good wind break too.

What I want to know is have you got yours directly on to the tank, and has it marked it in any way? I'm currently putting a micro fibre cloth under it but it looks a bit shit.

    Thanks.

  2. Got the Tank on mine. Must admit was a bit worried about the clips marking the tank.

I haven't done a lot of miles, but so far so good.

Its the best thing I've come across, I use it with a 20 and its a great day bag, more room than I need.

I remember some commenting that the 20 obstructed their riding style but I'm small stature and it doesn't get in my way at all

Also love how easy it is to lift it for tank filling or taking off entirely

Oh its a 1098S, I have it on and also on a Guzzi too.

  3. It is good isn't it. With the 30 on i can't really hang off the bike/get out of the seat but for a commute/weekend away its perfect. I'll use it daily i think with my 10, which can hold shoes, phone, wallet, iPad etc

It was more the rubber grip/grid underneath i was worried about messing up the lacquer on the tank, but i think it has been made in that material not to. The US 10 directly on my SF's seat cowl did mess it up, but the underneath of that is a harder type of grid.

    Thanks John.

  4. Well my experience, so far, is that it hasn't done any damage and stays pretty much in place and doesn't slide around.

Agree I must get a 10 at some point as a day bag that would be even better

I had the 20 on the rear too for a while but I have the CF insert and the bag didn't do anything to that, but its a harder material I guess. I prefer having the bag in front me its more convenient and you always have the assurance its there with a quick glance down. I'm a fan!

  5. I have one and I usually put a sheet of webbing at the front where the straps head down to the frame/headstock. I don't bother anywhere else and have no had a mark on the tank yet on several different bikes. Kriega stuff is ace
