Kriega US20

  1. Hi all.

Has anyone used a Kriega US20 strapped to the back of there Multi 1200? I was thinking of getting one (they seem to get good reviews), and just wondered if it attached ok to this particular bike?

    Thanks.

  2. Yes I have with a US10 strapped to it as well. Brilliant kit.

  3. I've used one by taking the pillion pad off, strap the bag onto the seat then slam it back down and it was fine.

I've had US20 & US10 bags for a few years now and used them on a number of winter trips where rain, spray and snow were the order of the day and never had anything get wet. Brilliant bits of kit and they passed the ultimate test of keeping cigarette papers dry so what's not to like?

  4. Thanks for the replies. Something else to add to the want list then.

  5. Don't waste your time with the harness that lets you use them as a tankbag. The US10/20 make good tailpacks and are good for strapping on top of aluminium panniers but as tankbags they miss the spot big style.

  6. I have kriega tailpack bags that I have used on lots of different bikes - currently on a 600ss and they are really brilliant

  7. Another fan.

I had a 30 and a 20 strapped to the pillion seat of my 848 evo when we went round Europe last year. Brilliant kit!

the 10 and tank holder is also really usefull for wallet and phone etc.

    Buy buy buy.

  8. The tidy 5L works brilliantly as a little tank bag.

  9. Another option to the one suggested by MJW61 is to use the K3 waistback for your valuables. Less likely to walk off without it!

  10. US20 as tail pack. US5 as tank bag. Happy days...

  11. I have a US20 which is excellent; a good size, fits securely, waterproof and looks good. I use it when I'm solo and don't want to use the top box, so it fits nicely on the rear seat and top box rack.

I also have a K3 waist pack which is good however on the Multistrada I found that it bumps on the rear seat which is a bit annoying. This might not be a problem for anyone taller, I'm 5'10", or have a higher waist. I wanted a waist pack as I don't like putting too much stuff into jacket and trouser pockets. The K3 is a good size and it's waterproof.

  12. Turn the waistpack round so the bag sits on your side.
