I've had a 2 stroke Supermoto itch that I just had to scratch for some time now, so decided to build a KTM 300 Supermoto. So, in late November 2014 I purchased a donor bike, full Enduro spec and used as intended but tidy enough. The main factor was to buy one that had a solid engine, this had been fully rebuilt, top and bottom end within the last 40 hours, these things will do 300 hours no problem if looked after. Motor was sweet, so started to strip it down. I sold off most of the unwanted off-road parts to go towards the build cost as I was doing it on a budget, how wrong that budget was ! After stripping it, it became apparent that I had neither the time or the skill to rebuild the bike, so I sent it to a friend, who is a well known and highly regarded KTM specialist (KevinYorks on the KTM forum) I had the ideas and plan and he made it all a reality, the end result is stunning, it's cost a fortune but I'm glad I did what I did in the end Before and after !!! It's had Frame, Swingarm, subframe and wheels blasted and powdercoated black New Full FMF Gnarly exhaust with shorty silencer New Boyesen engine / ignition covers Cast BBS wheels, blasted and powdercoated New bearings throughout New bolts throughout Full new plastics and new black tank New Silicone orange hoses New Forged and anodised brake and gear lever New Billet orange pegs New Custom graphics New waves rear disc Various anodised bling covers New oversized radiators New Renthal fat bars New circuit hand guards and front fender 320 Braking front disc Brembo 4 pot front Caliper from an Aprilia Mille R Forks anodised (legs, bottoms and clamps) revalved and set up for Supermoto Rear shock shorted and revalved for Supermoto and spring podercoated Orange It's basically a brand new bike Probably loads of other bots missed off, it's bling tastic, roll on spring !!!
This SHOULD have delivered on so so many levels and is just a before and after pic... I'm soooooo disappointed.
