For Sale Ktm Rc8r

Had two RC8’s and an RC8R, bloody brilliant bikes, incredibly comfortable for a sports bike.

 

I remember being next to one in the pit garage at Portimao. Sounded great though (loud). Well it was until it absolutely shat itself on day 3… track shut for an hour cleaning up its oil….

 

They didn't earn the name 'Keeps Taking Money' for no reason haha

 

Having had Ducati’s for more years than I care to remember I can safely say that my bank account looked far healthier with KTM ownership than with having Dukes in the garage and a hotline to Louigimoto.

 

Do miss mine, cracking bike.

I did enjoy it, and felt I could spend longer on it than my 999 or 1000SS, but I've no room in my life for another sports bike.

But I do like the look of it, they have aged really well, and were well ahead of their time styling wise.

 

I think the original orange is destined to become a classic.

 

I'm not against orange. But I don't own anything that is orange -save for the fruit occasionally- and thats very unlikely to change.

 

Loved the original black and white r colour, here’s mine in road trim, then track then “bleeding the cooling system trim”
