I’ve no recent experience (so feel free to disregard!) but I think if they are still made in Hamamatsu by the original company, they will be right up there with the very best. However, if they are now “badge engineered” elsewhere and are only trading on the good name, I would be wary.
I’ve got a race pair of gloves and they are great, no hard armour. Think you go a size up from typical uk sizes. The chaps at kushitani uk seemed okay when I bought (2 years)
wore a pair of the race gloves out a few year back, after lots of use. Got a discount on them as old stock. They were top notch, and, they fit like a glove!
