Today was one of those days where the Gods were shining down on me.After a typically painful start to the day I decided that as the sun was shining I was going to make the best of it. I had just downed a nice cocktail of meds when Mrs Mervyn, with a typical I know you smirk on her lovely face, handed me the phone. It was Peter from Pro twins Ducati-my new Scrambler had arrived. So,I had a very careful ride over the dealership to do the paperwork, order a few goodies and pay for it.I did manage not to get sucked in too much to the 'Land of Joy' catalogue, and only ordered a few bits and pieces.:Angelic: My ride home on the SF was a little more confident and spirited Mrs Mervyn was very keen to hear from me about the Scrambler and what it actually did.I eventually got her interested in Cafe Racers, pocket rockets,Sports bikes and others.Well,to tell the truth, after a couple of minutes she said she was bored, and went off to do some painting. I shall now practise being 'Hip'Then I can really fit into @the Land of Joy'
I will practise being hip, probably in the garage ,out of sight.I could grow a beard, let my hair grow, and adopt a youthful and can do sort of personaAlternatively I could just enjoy my new bike when it arrives and have a few more rides. I will post up suitable photos when I get it.I am very much looking forward to my new wheels.
Red Icon El Toro.Can't wait to get it.Having a few bits fitted,nothing exciting though.Heated grips,tail tidy,radiator guard,handlebar brace,crash bugs.
I'm still waiting for my heated grips I had the handlebar brace, belly pan and headlight grille/trim fitted too. I'm now umming and ahhhing about a high level exhaust.
Crash bugs :Bookworm: what you get some little flys to stick on your headlamp Hope you don't get bored with it as quick as your missus did
There is a delay on the Ducati heated grips.I am having some American ones fitted.I was offered the Term is,but I declined.Might go for Akron further down the line.
You are quite right buzz about downsizing. The SF will be going I am sure.Time to move on,and de clutter.
De cluttering yeah good idea Merv, I'll pop down and remove that rusty old lump before it spews oil all over your lovely conservatory
